Your California Privacy Rights

If you reside in California, you have the right to request and obtain a list of third parties, if any, to which your personal information (as defined by California law) has been disclosed for the third parties' direct marketing purposes during the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2020 will receive information about 2019 sharing activities, if any). California residents also have the right to opt out of having their personal information shared for direct marketing purposes. This notice supplements our Global Privacy Policy , which describes the Personal Information we collect and the purposes for which it is used. In addition, we outline for California residents your rights to know, rights to delete and rights to opt-out as set forth in the CCPA.

YouGlish does not directly sell your personal information for money, but we use services to help deliver tailored ads to you based on your interests, and we may transfer Personal Information to business partners for their use. Over the last 12 months we have collected the following such Personal Information: online identifiers, IP addresses, cookies or browsing activity. Making such Personal Information available to these companies may be considered a “sale” for CCPA purposes.

Your CCPA Rights to Personal Information

If you reside in California, you have the right to make the following requests with respect to your personal information:

Access: You have the right to request that we disclose to you the categories of personal information collected about you, the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected, the categories of personal information sold or disclosed, the business or commercial purpose for collecting and selling the personal information, the categories of third parties with whom we share the personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information collected about you over the past 12 months.

Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal information that we maintain about you, subject to certain exceptions.

Opt-out: You can request to opt-out of the sale of your personal information to a third party. For purposes of this privacy policy, "sell" means the sale, rental, release, disclosure, dissemination, availability, transfer, or other oral, written, or electronic communication of your personal information to an outside party for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Right to be free from discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise your rights to access information, data portability or deletion rights, please submit a verifiable consumer request by emailing us at [email protected]. Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.
